leap of faith
To be anonymous or to be transparent has been the prevalent question weighing on my mind. The psychology of an introvert immerses oneself in ones thoughts and feelings rather than with an external enviroment. To express those thoughts and feelings can shine an unwanted light on the quiet solitude of a introvert. The fireworks happen when the juxtaposition of an introvert is confronted with ones empathic attributes.
The answer then is to be TRANSPARENT and shine LIGHT in the beautifully dark places of life’s experiences; and furthermore, offer much needed HOPE that tells an incredible story. The story goes…. with a little FAITH, a lot of LOVE, and with a HEART of determination; in the end, She Makes It!
about me
In simple: I am a servant leader, and a proud and faithful follower of Christ; a mother of three (Larry, Curly and Moe), and a warrior in life who has rightfully earned the nickname Sarge!
In the not-so-simple: I am a creative soul and “black sheep” who has maneuvered backwards through life on the path of most resistance, always following the road less traveled. I have witnessed the magnificent power of prayer, and have experienced the utmost grace in the midst of turmoil. Naturally introverted, but living the life of a part-time extrovert; I have embraced both the blessings and heaviness of the mysteriously-chaotic empathic gift. I see beauty in all that is broken and choose to shine light on the darkness and unshattered brokenness in life.
the why
I strongly BELIEVE that I am exactly where I need to be in LIFE. I also recognize that my “path of most resistance” has defined and strengthened me to MY core, and most importantly; has given me unedited, heart-felt and raw, real-life experience to draw inspiration from. This authentic inspiration is a part of My SOUL PURPOSE; meant to be shared (for those ready to receive), to evoke thought and offer experiential guidance. However, please do not use my guidance as your truth and only source. It is MY truth, MY source and MY experience, carefully cultivated for ME. In full-transparency, this blog was a thought, planted like a seed, with careful instruction given to ME (by my creator) to share. I simply ask that you reflect on the words, and PRAY about the guidance in reference to YOUR JOURNEY, and seek with Open Hands and Heart for answers specific to YOUR SOUL PURPOSE.
what i do
logistics
I manage people, product, timelines, and expectations. Analogy: My job feels like I am responsible for putting together a thousand piece puzzle and sometimes I don’t even have a picture of what that puzzle looks like. To make matters even more interesting, half the pieces are either missing, or in someone else’s possession. But in the end, the pieces come together. No soul creativity in what I do but I am blessed with the living I make, and proud of the work we do.
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. -Winston Churchill
past experience
creative director
I spent what seemed like a life-time helping to build a small mom-and-pops organization to one of the largest and most reputable organization in the industry. My role was half creative and half logistics, and it mostly made my heart very happy. I had the best of both intense worlds, mixed with the extreme highs and lows of that particular industry. Ultimately, things came to an end, and the opportunity for new adventures began.
family business
I grew up in a family-owned business and began working at the age of thirteen. My parents and grandparents, European immigrants, taught us the value of hard and honest work. I have to say, they gave us the BEST examples in LIFE!
Get up and go to work, it never killed anyone – Baba (aka: grandma)
